i can deal with some pretty awful, outright hatred of fat people; i know how to respond to it and i know how how to not get too down about it
but when people see an image of a fat person loving their body
when people see an image of fat people loving each other’s bodies
when people see an image of a fat person looking happy
and they say, “is this a joke?”
and they do. all the time. the idea that fat people can be happy is so absurd to some people that they can’t even fathom the idea that it might be serious.
do you understand the fucking severity of that?
do you fucking realize how often this happens?
if you haven’t witnessed this then good for you, but i’ve seen it happen way too many fucking times.
dehumanized, demonized, objectified, trivialized.
like fat faces never smile.
fuck it.
fatties, yr happiness is always subversive. remember that.
